Vacation in a jar – A Cute Way to Bring Your Latest Trip Home!

Hello again, it’s been a while! Today, I want to share a lovely idea to make your home feel cozier while keeping your travel memories alive. It’s not exactly a new concept, but it’s definitely something worth having – a vacation in a jar!

As you can see in the photo above, this jar is filled with little treasures from the Baltic Sea on the German coast. While walking along the beach last autumn, I picked up some seashells and thought, “Wouldn’t it be nice to keep these as a memory?” So, I collected a few shells, along with some dried lemon grass, other local flora, and, of course, a bit of sand.

If you want to create your own vacation jar, be mindful and leave the most beautiful shells behind so others can enjoy finding them too. ( ˙▿˙ )

These small natural decorations look beautiful at home, especially paired with incense sticks or other coastal-inspired decor.

All in all, it’s a fun and meaningful DIY project that also makes a great gift! My grandma loved hers, and to this day, I still haven’t seen a speck of dust on it. (´︶`)
