When someone asks me what my favorite color is, I always say that every color is my favorite. Why? Because you can take any scene and make one particular color stand out, turning it into the striking centerpiece. But when it comes to natural photography, I often find red the most fascinating. It’s such a bold and rich color, like the ground that the flower in the featured image is resting on.
Or take this photo of bird berries I captured:

Mixed with the vintage style of my digital camera, it just feels so… right. Like a dream—almost like a screenshot of a fleeting moment in that dream. I took this photo during a bike trip, and I immediately stopped—not particularly because of the berries themselves but because something about that red caught my eye. It was so vibrant, so special. I took the shot, and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
Spring is just around the corner, and I wonder… will my favorite color change then?
Here’s another photo of those berries:

I love the lightning in this one. Whenever I go on bike rides, my camera is always with me. It’s a perfect way to combine exercise with creativity. As I cycle, the world rushes past like a living painting, but every now and then, something catches my eye—maybe it’s the way the light hits a tree or the unexpected contrast of colors in a flowerbed. I stop, observe, and let the moment sink in. These fleeting scenes remind me how beautiful the world can be, even in its smallest details. It’s these moments that make photography so rewarding, like freezing a little piece of magic in time.
